PROJECT

Well, OK, this isn't really a restoration project, since the car was built NEW in 1987-88.

In 1999, this car was repainted for the first time since it was put in service, and the floor was finished. As part of the interior rehab of 556, the original desk and cupola steps were stripped from this car to provide authentic equipment for 556. The steps and desk were replaced with newly made pieces.

One project for 2000 was to pull the window sash, paint both sash and window sills and re-install.

Minor roof repairs are planned for 2001.
